The final deliverables can be in any form. My manifesto is about love; I thought about what people do when they fall in love or have a favorite. People like to take psychological tests. &nbsp; Tarot cards are a typical tool that people use. So I designed my version of tarot cards and printed them out. (I only created 22 Grand Arcana cards.) Open to everyone,&nbsp; you can register and download an interactive map to collect everything. Manifesto/Mission: Taste something NEW &amp; Waste nothing. For the logo design, I think the organization has two keywords, organic (natural) and share. So in the design process, I thought about whether I could incorporate type into the organic pattern. Let the logo fit the overall design atmosphere. I decided to add a gradient layer above the image for the image treatment. After adding the gradient layer, the gradient will give the image a soft and light tone. And make the image more vibrant. I chose the Ultima, a sans-serif font, as the primary font.This font is rounded and has no sharp corners. Bold weight Ultima font was used for the logo and application. Black weight was used for the header. Regular weight Ultima was used for the body paragraph. Hot mess, a faux handwritten font as a secondary font. Also used for application. For this project, I pick Lipstick as my topic. Since childhood, I have been very interested in my mother’s Lipstick. After I grew up, I got my own Lipstick, and I became very interested in the history and meaning of Lipstick and design. Chapter (5)~ Burn This project is about deconstruction. I designed a zine and a motion for the project. I am going to bring a symbol, a sign, and a commodity back to the essence of what lipstick is made of. Lipstick represents being sexualized and is the product of a male gaze. It also represents sexual liberation and feminism. My audience is the general public. I didn't name the zine because it's a zine about the lipstick itself. I want to keep it simple. I designed it by deconstructing lipstick through color, texture, shape, and scent. Images may be abstract, this zine’s function is to giving people a basic understanding about the composition of lipstick. For my motion piece, I named it as “BURN”. Burning is a process, a process of destruction, and then recovery from destruction. In this motion, I lit the lipstick. Ignited a commodity, a symbol. I want to bring it back to the essence. Completed in Spring 2023. For this project, I really think about who I am, all my life experiences, my memories, and what constitutes me. Where do I come from, and what is my next step? After deciding on the topic, I did some research. I read some articles, and I found that I am not the only person who has these feelings. My statement sounds a little bit serious and sad. Sad, maybe, but I don’t want to be serious. So I tried to be fun when I designed my zine. Chapter (6)~ Mother Tongue Hanyu(Mandarin) is my mother tongue, I love her and that might be my destiny. Every moment of using a second language in a foreign country is like wandering in my mother tongue.&nbsp; The theme of this project is to honor my time living in a foreign country. At the same time, many of my friends resonate with the idea of being bilingual. I hope that this design will be a comfort to all those who are studying and living in a foreign country. The mother tongue is the first language or dialect that a person has been exposed to from birth. The mother tongue is "alive". You start listening to it from your mother's womb, like the air you breathe. Each language is linked to the initial feeling of the world of the person using it. “English,” my second language, is like a skill that I learned; I will use it, but I can't own it. “From the moment you start learning another language, the two language systems begin to compete with each other.” (Monika Schmid) As a person who speaks two languages and has been exposed to two very different cultures. I have two different personalities when I use my native language and when I use my second language. Different languages represent different ways of thinking. Speaking a different language is like experiencing culture shock. The longer I stay in a non-native country, the faster my native language skills deteriorate. Although my friends and I use Mandarin to communicate, I often open my mouth and forget the words I want to say in Mandarin. Sometimes I feel shamed to express myself in my native language, for example, it is hard to say I love you in Mandarin, but easy to say I love you in English. Sometimes I can’t find the right word to express my feelings. I was talking to a friend who spoke my native language, but we used a lot of English words. The old poems, literary texts, and four-letter words that I had memorized in school had gradually faded from my mind. This feeling made me sad and lonely. When you are exposed to another culture, when your body and spirit become what they are after blending the two cultures. It is never possible to go back to the original. I never regret going to a strange country to study and live; it was my choice, and I just feel lost every time I use Mandarin expressions. City-pop is a niche genre of music. Many people who like city-pop need to use a different music player to listen to city-pop music.&nbsp;I hope this player can become a player exclusively for city-pop fans. Chapter (8)~ City-pop Player City-pop, it refers to pop songs with a "big-city feel", which became popular in Japan in the mid-1970s and into the 1980s. With the development of the times, there are many good songs and singers have been forgotten.&nbsp; City-pop is a genre of music that I like very much, and I would like to create a player that only plays city-pop music.&nbsp;The target audience of this player is fans of city-pop. This player not only plays city-pop music, but also introduces the history of city-pop, the background and creative process of city-pop musicians. It also introduces artists who have used city-pop as inspiration for their work.&nbsp;It is equivalent to a small encyclopedia to provide a better experience for the fans of city-pop to use. Design Process:I first investigated the popular players on the market to see their user interfaces and how they are used. I didn't want my player to be difficult for users to use, so my user interface is more similar to these players. Chapter (9)~ Social Media&nbsp; I create a City-pop artist named Reira(レイラ). She is 25 years old, and she is a&nbsp;Japanese-American who loves City-pop music. She is about to launch a new album and is going on a US tour. I used a lot of retro elements, such as hearts and palm trees, in the design.
